- : The 2400/ARQ is not the modem-modem baud rate. I think it is the
- : modem-computer rate. I have a Cardinal MVP288I and I get the same
- : reading. Look for a line that says 26400 Carrier; or 28800 Carrier;
- : or 24000 Carrier; something like that. That is the real modem-modem
- : baud rate. Most of the time I cannot connect at 28800, due to phone
- : line interference, etc. Hope this helps.

- This may or may not help but you might want to see what the X at command
- defaults to. Using a low number (like X0 or X1) sometimes limits the
- response set to a connect message limited to 2400. You might want to add an
- X4 to your string.
